Folio 309r of the Book of Kells
It contains text from the Gospel of John written in Insular majuscule by the scribe known as Hand B.
I am in a state of awe right now. Just finished watching The Secret of Kells. Wow. That was an amazing piece of art. This movie is a keeper and even if you watch this like a gazillion times it will still amaze you. I will give a review of the movie in a short while but in the meantime, enjoy the photosets from the movie. AWESOME.
